A Day of Remembrance
I’ve been trying to think of what to write this week and then I looked at the calendar. This weekend, and tomorrow especially, should be a time for remembering the victims of the brutal surprise attack that Hamas launched on hundreds of Israelis. The situation today, one year later, is complicated, and there are innocents to be mourned on both sides. But today and tomorrow I will pray for the families of the victims of the October 7th attack and the return of the Israelis and others still held captive. There will be time enough after tomorrow to remember all the other victims of the violence that has erupted since that tragic day, and nothing I can say today that would truly matter.
Peace.
